1 Week In!

Okay so I'm 1 week in to my first official Beachbody Challenge Group. We are doing the 21 Day Fix and I'm really enjoying it.

Starting out I was freaking out for SO many reasons:
  • I don't like healthy foods
  • I've got a bunch of people doing this with me, what if it doesn't work
  • I don't like healthy foods
  • Trying new recipes when my family is pretty picky
  • Feeding myself one thing and my kids/husband something different
  • Sugar cravings
  • I don't like healthy foods
  • Bland food
  • Grocery shopping
Okay, I'm sure you get the point. Now that we're a week in I see that most of those fears have taken care of themselves. For example: I was worried that I had sold a product to a bunch of my friends and they would be unhappy with it. Well all of my friends are doing GREAT on the program. Some are putting in a little effort, some are putting in a lot, but most everyone is seeing results!

Day one was iffy. I kept getting my containers mixed up, and what I thought was veggie wasn't on the veggie list (black eyed peas) blah blah blah. Not to mention I sneak bites of my kids food.
Day 2 was MUCH better. Every day my goal is to be better than yesterday and I totally did it.
By day 3 I was able to spread out my containers better so I knew what to eat when, I started finding recipes I liked and I think that's when I started to find my goove.

We started on Monday on FRIDAY we went to Myrtle Beach overnight, and guys. I was BAD. I didn't eat as bad as I would otherwise but I didn't eat well at all. But I did my workouts, came home and got back on track. So now I'm still working on (and enjoying week 2)

The biggest challenge is my upcoming trip to FL. The kids and I are flying and I'm not sure how well eating and traveling is gonna work out. But I'm gonna try my hardest. I REALLY want to be EXCITED about putting on a bathing suit. And now that I've begun to feel the start of progress I'm excited about the process!

I'm REALLY enjoying trying out new recipes. Today for lunch I had a wheat wrap with turkey, turkey bacon, lettuce/spinach mixture and 21 Day fix Ranch. It was DELISH.

So week 1 of 21 Day Fix here are my thoughts:
  • Easier than I thought it was going to be
  • Actually enjoy the workouts- simple easy to follow
  • The food is pretty good
  • I still want sweets but I'm working on that
  • My challengers are AWESOME
  • My gut feels lighter
  • I've lost a couple of lbs (i've seen the smallest number on the scale so far)
I'm having a GREAT time with this. AND check out my MOMMA:

That's only a week in! I'm so proud of her. I'm so glad she's doing this with me. She's given me motivation to keep at it!

It really is an awesome program.

But as a coach I REALLY don't like messaging people because I sound like so much of a commercial. I'm pretty much impossible NOT to. But I REALLY mean everything I'm saying. I REALLY want to help these people. I want to watch/help/encourage them on this journey so they can see how awesome all this really is.

Anywho I must be going.... gotta start getting my butt in gear for VACATION.

Life is crazy...

Wow, things have gotten CRAZY. I keep telling myself that once I finish with this calculus it won't be so bad, but I know once it's over we start a new set of adventures. Like swim lessons and vacations....

But life is good! I'm really enjoying things right now even if we are busy. We're a good type of busy. Like we woke up early this morning to Ethan and Matt could go fishing! We're THAT kind of busy, and it's wonderful.

And I'm really surprised as to how much I'm enjoying my Beachbody journey. I'm not even asking people to check it out. People are automatically interested, I just help them along the way. And I LOVE it. I love being able to help people. And while I'm helping people I feel like I'll be more accountable for myself because I have to PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH! I've actually had a really successful June so far, I hope it keeps up because it's been such a fun ride so far!

I even look forward to my Shakeology every day. It's SO good (my new favorite recipe is coconut milk & vanilla shako). Now I'm experimenting on WHEN to drink it. I've been drinking it for breakfast but yesterday I had it for lunch and it kept me full until dinner time. When do you drink yours!?

Honestly when I first signed up I was so skeptical. I was thinking there was no way I was going to be as crazy about it as some of the people I see. I'll sign up, do what I can/want and leave it at that. But now I totally understand the craze. It's honestly work looking in to if you're interested!

The Mud run was a BLAST! (Except for the one mud hole with cow poop!). One of the first obstacles (and the only one where it was 'natural' mud) I feel in kind harder than I meant to... got out and smelled like poop. I was SO MAD. But, after another couple of obstacles the poop mud was replaced by man-made, clean mud and I was happy. I'll say it again. It was SO. MUCH. FUN. If you have the chance do it. There were obstacles but none were too bad. (I'm even proud of myself because I wasn't sore the next day! that's some progress right!?)

Sorry I'm not updating as much, but like I said life is BUSY!
